I want to warn you about a few nuances:
1. the adapter may not have the eyelet for fastening to the mother Board, ear with the native drive may not fit — I cut a new pair of scissors from a tin
2. the adapter may be smaller than your dvd-drive and height in the compartment will be quite a big gap
3. false panel (bezel) Asus a53s (I suspect that from any modern laptop) is not suitable to Espada SS95 the location of one of the latches. It turns out that either I leave a blank panel came with the adapter and it did not fit the design, or cut down one of the latches of the native panel and stick it on the adapter, this will help me to cover the gap from point 2.
Native panel did not recover, and on ebay it costs $30.
4. build quality external box for dvd-rom can be simply disgusting (espada usd01) and have a pair of scissors to widen the bolt holes
In General, do not expect everything to be easy like LEGO. Buying cheap Chinese adapters need to be ready to finished them by hand.
