Advise ICQ-client QIP instead

I've been using QIP, despite their nasty habit of hiding unnecessary to me options (automatic configuration, your home page and default search) by clicking on custom installation. Once arranged, not lazy show these to remove when you install. This morning I turned on my work computer and saw an offer to install a new version of the qip to install, it's pre-downloaded itself. Installed without your knowledge got a new default search engine with their domain. Disgusting.

Please tell me, what icq client do you use, what do you think? Whether to support different services? I'm a behind the times, ICQ obsolete, and it is time to switch on the auto-mail?

When talking about Windows, then Miranda.
If you do not want "designer", then the Native build is very good.

Miranda IM (windows only). Open Source, the original mnogopotochnoy (default supply: ICQ, Jabber, MSN, GG, IRC, Yahoo), a gazillion of plugins (functionality extends to the horizon).
\r
The only negative — no one wants to take up porting Miranda under the other OS.

rnq.ru — small, nimble, unpacked the archive and forward. I use about 7 years, then he was still &rq :)

He been looking where to go with quip and found trillian.now im not even sure why I found it.
This is happiness, I rejoice every time, just when his run (he can Skype in the background to run, you can communicate from Trillian).
And all the cross-platform stuff in Windows ugly look.
