Good afternoon.
It's much easier.
Put VirtualBox, and then Windows guest, in the end put MS Office.
Details about installing virtualBox

Put LibreOffice for Linux.
All the same as in MS Office, only in the native environment.

Use LibreOffice(pre-installed in Ubuntu) or online Goldoni(the world uses nothing).
What special problems when opening documents created in Office using LibreOffice I have not encountered.

PS try a different version or build or portable. Using vine or VirtualBox.

Try wine to run MS Office on Ubuntu is like trying to tie to the bike's wings and try to fly. Perhaps he wings to wave start. Maybe even a meter high fence will be able to fly. But the sky Vallet does not work, no matter how you try.

Wine is a project which years almost as much as I do UNIX. And never have they not got something more complex notepad and simple games of seven-a decade ago. And to run the office, which is tied to Windows through - blessed are those who believe.

If You need Windows office - put Windows in KVM. If you need just an office - use the Libra. But do not forget that the more complex the document the harder it will be to open MS Office after libres.

Deliver excellent office WPS Office https://www.wps.com There basic functionality is free, but if need be, for example, the macros you will have to pay. Used in Ubuntu, and now Win10. LibreOffice is also good.
