Whether to take the monitor with the DisplayPort?

Does it make sense to bother and take the monitor with Display Port connector or to score and take with dvi/hdmi?

The FullHD monitor is expected in the future, probably no one. Main tasks: programming, text processing. From time to time the game. video card DP connectors there.

What are the advantages of DP before, for example, HDMI?

I would advise you to take a monitor with DP, DisplayPort, dvi is definitely better, it has a wide channel for data transmission. Also have a DP higher resolution support in different frequencies. That is, if HDMI supports 3840×2160 at 30 Hz, then the DP will pull 3840 x 2400 pixels, with 60 Hz. From personal observation, DP smaller looks stronger and really break it more difficult.

In addition, the DP has a locking plug in connector, and HDMI — no.

as the owner here such configuration: twitter.com/ufaweb/status/150180473384083456/photo/1 (in the past), DP I can tell you this, IMHO the DP should only be used where it does (e.g. in my case, Eyefinity on a 5850 runs only via connecting the third monitor via DP), due to the fact that it is VERY capricious Protocol, namely: I have never met a hdmi cable, which worked badly, even Chinese cable for 300 rubles will be bearable to work in the General conditions, but the dp cable will have to buy quality (expensive, I my was worth more than 1000 rubles), as dp Protocol very high demands on the physical environment.

Just select the monitor and not the connector. How he will be a connector not so important (unless you got some super special monitor with a huge resolution). hdmi and display port are similar. The difference between them is insignificant.
The only catch — you will not be able to connect hdmi laptop to display port monitor — such cables do not exist, only in the opposite direction. However, the known monitors and dvi as a rule are equipped with. This way you will be able to connect on this Protocol via an adapter. For FullHD resolution is the same ride without any losses (as I understand). For large screen resolutions only, you won't be able to do it.

DP will easily support 120 Hz, so I zayuzat. The cable is inexpensive, absolutely no problems. I highly recommend Monique to take with support for 120 Hz — the difference is quite noticeable, contrary to the claims of marketers. Enough the program window to drag it across the desktop.

Purposefully bother and you need to take none with DP. For example, HD7850, you can connect 6 monitors to the DVI connectors (1 monitor), HDMI (1st monitor) and DP (up to 4 monitors). But the FX1800 has 3 connectors (2 DP and 1 DVI) and the ability to connect only 2 monitors, you can use 2 PD on videokarte not advisable... Better-instead of the 1st PD set the HDMI so more versatile it would be.
