Hello! For several years sitting on the Airport Express. Once connected directly — noticed that the Internet faster. Began to study the subject, learned that with consumersim glands, sharpened under some narrow problem (routers, NAS-s), very bad things: inside shoved frankly bad processor, little memory, all heralded as a super-duper: Gigabit ports (I personally was NAS that physically could not download Gigabit port even one-tenth of its width), the latest wifi standards.

Yesterday was almost bought linksys ea4500, because at some tricky site tests the speed of new linksysy taxiing. But accidentally got into the reviews on Yandex Market — there are some horror is written: and speed full not issue, and with the cloud it behaved oddly, and for some protocols not normally.

So, tell me a router that:
— to ensure maximum speed
— maximum range
— will have convenient konsumenckie features (type of connection usb-screws, etc.)

In the Internet come across one review for dummies.

Look for one that will support alternative firmware like DD-WRT, Tomato. There you will get a far greater stability and speed.
He is familiar with the D-Link (or who do not advise - no dd-wrt use not possible) TP-Link (a couple of reboot per day they need) and Asus. I had a great WL-500G - great router, but the second revision is not the same. And now I have 56U. Everything is stable and fast.
If you want something unusual and at the same quality then buy Mikrotik. Conventional models are not much more expensive. But I have read a lot of manuals and understand + find hard.

My Zyxel Keenetic Giga like. Directly 100Mbit no problem pulling. I don't use WiFi often, but 25% of capacity smartphone good catches on the other end of the apartment. Gigabit ports seems OK in LAN with a computer on the PC is copied to ~75МБ/s (faster probably hard not time). 2 USB port. NAS'and I don't have but 1 port yuzayu under the drive for buns (script for social networks). For six months use had 1 freeze, think this is force majeure:)

Look towards Mikrotik glands. In particular market.yandex.ru/model.xml?modelid=7856103&hid=723087 or the one suggested above
