Where can I download database of bar codes and product names

When writing term papers need a database barcodes of the goods and (at least) their names. Searching the Internet found nothing: everywhere write that such bases do not exist in the clear. But such a base is found in every supermarket, it is still no one posted? It's not secret information.

So I decided to ask habrovky, can anyone give a link to any database of bar codes. To buy such a database in General is meaningless (because it's just corsac), and to fill manually for too long.

And what does "base barcodes of goods"?

IMHO every company independently bind the item to their barcodes either for acceptance of the goods — put in a line pasted on the product bar code the corresponding item from the item master; or, in the case that print their own barcodes for products/price lists — generate a barcode based on the unique price tag/item number.

What prevents you to download absolutely any price in the Internet, and nagraviroval barcode at least the line number for each product?

Well, Yes, in every supermarket there are, but why they spread? It is necessary to separate codes in header some sort, unload, etc. And it's not exactly some kind of base there, just the information is entered upon receipt of the new goods. Oddly enough, the database does not exist (I have not seen such at least or the numerous supermarkets with whom I dealt at that time did not use) and every supermarket from scratch fills gradually.

Manufacturers have such a thing as "Specification" for the new products
Her shopping and stuff in their base products.

Option would be to write a simple parser but to incite to any online store. :)

Google GEPIR, GLN. For access to a database of EAN codes are the money, for free, no one will. Costs about €90 a year for access to GEPIR German and N of money per year for your GLN in the country of residence (natural persons not will).

If you need just a base with some amount of real goods with real barcode — please dl.dropbox.com/u/959328/products.xls — there are about 3000 products, almost all spelled out barcode. The stock — cables, adapters, tools.
