Who used the old Polaroid cameras (clicked and immediately got a printed photo) — tell?

Recently came up with the idea to buy an old but working Polaroid camera on ebay. I really like his principle of "clicked and got a printed photo," but I've never used such gadgets (a little more was when they were in fashion).

Who used them — tell us what side effects have these cameras? There's just a paper, no paint is usually not necessary? And in General, as they have the quality of the pictures?

There is something like disposable cartridges for a few photos. Quality, like, was considered worse than the film compacts, but the explicit rejection do not remember, except that the size is small. Now in this sense only the memories.

And now Polaroid has a significant disadvantage — the cartridges for him to buy it.

But the model is a "probavala chip" and made this garbage here: http://fujifilm.ru/products/instax/ already sold in Russia (at least Moscow). The cost of one picture for "only" 25 rubles.

There is a special magazine was which paper blanks on a few dozen frames.
Plus a separate cartridge with some chemicals (now it will be difficult to find, I think, not produce already, most likely). There's something quite corrosive, I am a child of this one scratched together with a classmate, he hands a sickly burned.

Of the side effects — pictures will be always in only one size (i.e., it will not work properly to make 10x15, for example, as with conventional film). Oh and these pictures fade faster than with conventional plenochnykh. On time is not necessary — a few photos I have lying around with the 94-th year, approximately, so there is some faded at the kiss these goodbye, and some — quite think of anything.

Somewhere under the bed lay the carcass of Polaroid. In Moscow about 10 years if not longer cartridges to Polaroid not met, and when sold the cost of the photos came out pretty great. So the question of the budget rather doubtful, the carcass is worth a penny, and a couple of cartridges with 10 shots and the value of the carcass. I remember the battery in those cartridges was good, picks open the cartridge and to the machine with the remote control was attached, the speed of 3-4 times increased compared to the normal finger, and surprisingly, cars are not burned. With peers when the race was arranged at all the eyes on the forehead climbed. :)
