Is it possible to update the firmware for the Iphone 3g on the 4 th IOS? If so, then what exactly would it not be slow? Found many not satisfied reviews online from those who reflash supposedly iphone has become slow and hang. Where can I see the list of changes in the Iphone OS?

The main change is the addition of multitasking.
He starts to slow down usually because the happy owners of the device the fourth axis is not aware of the fact that now the apps are not closed at the push of a button, and fold and continue to work. Therefore, they are usually running stopitsot pieces and poor device cannot cope with the load.
And there are glitches as in the third and fourth axis so don't bother :)
We've updated the iPhone 3Gs test almost every time out new axis version — bugs with each version less. brakes and freezes in normal mode not.

I see only update 1 plus — a programme from the game will require IOS 4.
Multitasking can be done with a utility background from cydia.
So I would have thought 1,000 times before you upgrade, because the performance impact is quite noticeable.

The iPhone 3G multitasking and never will be, it is only available for 3GS+ with IOS iOS4+.
Subjectively, it is better not to upgrade to the 4th axis as a weak 3G will slow down and you really want to change it to 4 (judge for yourself).

First decided that this topic from the past came out. Update to 4.2.1, if we are talking about the iPhone 3G, I would not. Instead of dubious improvements will be a huge size brakes. iPhone 3G, as well as a normal iPhone, it is better to leave it on 3.1.3. But 3Gs on 5.0 works well. Multitasking in iPhone 3G with any version of the official firmware will not. It does not support this feature.

To the comment above: and what if double-clicking on "home" opens?

The favorites list in the phone. No there is one strip that will show the list. Because it has no multitasking.

Hi.
Maybe you have no interest, but I will try to offer a different path (MB someone come in handy).
I upgraded for the reasons: steady job, application support, bug fixes older versions of iOS.
All the answers that have been made about the brakes is true.
Well, there is a problem (brakes) — decide it ))
Software overclocking: I'm not talking about the imaginary legend, where we need to tweak the file and your MC will take off and give a performance.
Get rid of excess in the system. All systems initially written for a large circle and have a lot of things. When services, daemons, processes, etc. that consume resources of the phone, and we do not use, it would be wise to get rid of them and make life easier for the system, thus speeding up its work to get rid of the brakes.
All the available methods to accelerate already collected in one list and in great detail described what to do.
I hope the thread someone will come in handy.
