iPad not charging. The computer doesn't see

The worst had happened. Suddenly(!) iPad almost stopped charging from the mains (if you enable the battery on the screen shows charging, but a day gained where 50 percent of the charge), iTunes does not see it. HardReset not helped, now generally received broken brick, so the iPad needs to connect it to my computer. Naturally cables, usb ports have been tested, tried with different, it is clearly not in them.
Googling saw that the problem is not me first, but all the tips are reduced to surrender in service. If someone faced with similar — report the possible cause and estimated cost of repairs.

Also had a problem and thought that he had lost his toy, but found a solution.

Look at the iPad screen with a flashlight, he does something (try to switch to design mode by pressing the Home button + Sleep/Wake). If you saw something, then the device is still working (just switched off the backlight) :)

You either need to take it to a service center so they handled it, as connecting to a remote computer, or do it yourself, in principle, not difficult, but you need software.

Software called iRecovery. I rocked under Ubuntu, you can have Windows. A sample list of commands after connection:
\r
\r./iRecovery -s
setenv auto-boot true
saveenv
fsboot
exit

The idea is all there is left to overwhelm the iPad.

IPads are generally capricious tablets. I have mine kept showing off, charging not working, the touchscreen partially slips when pressed. Already thinking to sell it and to buy new, but here remont-apple.ru/ipad.html the last time repaired and so far everything is working well.
